PAGAN: 'Bitter' Audio Sample Featuring RICHARD FORTUS Now Available

September 7, 2010

A 40-second audio sample of the single "Bitter" by gothic horror-inspired metal act PAGAN featuring Richard Fortus of GUNS N' ROSES is now available for streaming in the YouTube clip below.

A video for "Bitter" is now in production. The clip stars actress Jennifer Renée Price, who has worked with PAGAN founder Michael Bilinski on a number of film projects. The video's concept, developed by Price, is a dark, distinctly adult take on a classic fairy tale.

The "Bitter" single features an exclusive mix of the track created for the video and will hit digital outlets worldwide October 5 via The Gebepool/Universal. The original mix of "Bitter" will be found on PAGAN's upcoming studio album, "A Season In Hell". Additionally, the CD will include a remix of the song by Christian Menses of PSYCHOTICIA. Menses, who has produced remixes for industrial supergroups PIGFACE and TEAM CYBERGEIST, also appears as a guest vocalist on another of the album's tracks. "A Season In Hell" will be released this winter.

Led by cult filmmaker Michael Bilinski, PAGAN has been mixing dark ambient soundscapes with industrial strength guitars since its debut EP was released Halloween day 2006.

In addition to playing rhythm guitar in GUNS N' ROSES, Fortus has contributed to the soundtrack to the film "Repo! The Genetic Opera". His version of the James Bond theme can also be heard in the "Quantum Of Solace" video game and the fourth installment of the popular "Guitar Hero" series.
